Eat Nuts Every Day Eat nuts every day and live longer, that’s the results of a study that looked at eating nuts and links to various diseases and longevity. Data was analysed over a thirty year period and from over 120,000 people. There appeared to be no difference between tree growing nuts such as cashew nuts and ground growing nuts such as peanuts. Just a handful a day appears to be enough to bring about these benefits. The data also corresponds to previous studies showing that eating nuts may lower diseases including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, gallstones, colon cancer and diverticulitis. “Scientists from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the Harvard School of Public Health came to this conclusion after analyzing data on nearly 120,000 people collected over 30 years. The analysis also showed that regular nut eaters tended to be slimmer than those who ate no nuts, putting to rest the notion that eating nuts leads to weight gain. Senior author Charles S.
