 Getting Rid of Foul-Smelling Feet

 One of the main causes of foot odor is wearing thick socks or shoes for hours without allowing your feet to breathe. The reason why your feet have a cheesy odor is mainly because of the bacteria that is on your feet due to fungus growth on your feet or bad feet hygiene overall. To stop the foot odor, you need to wash your feet daily in the morning and again before bedtime. Take a break in wearing socks so your feet will be ventilated and you can place crushed herbs or powder inside your shoes before putting them on.

What Can I Do If My Feet Are Very Dry and Rough?

 Start by scraping off the dead skin off the back of your feet using a pumice stone that you can buy at the drugstore. Another idea is to rub cocoa butter lotion or shea butter lotion on the back of your feet after scrubbing your feet. If you haven’t been drinking water lately, you should start drinking more of it because proper hydration keeps your feet moist and attractive-looking. Cotton socks should be worn if your feet tend to get very dry.

Why Foot Care Is Important

 One reason why proper foot care is important because you could suffer from back pain if your feet are not well taken care of. For example, if you wear shoes that are too narrow or uncomfortable, you will experience back pain as a result. Proper foot care is also important because if you notice foot problems, it may be a sign of more serious illnesses such as diabetes or cancer. Injuries to your feet often lead to infections so this is another reason why foot care is important.

Obesity and Foot Care

 When you carry excess weight on your body, it puts strain on your feet and it also causes foot pain. To relieve foot troubles from obesity, you want to lose some of the excess weight by getting in more physical exercise and cutting out unhealthy foods such as carbohydrates made with refined flour, soft drinks and candy for a period of time. If necessary, you should consider weight loss surgery to assist in losing weight.


Your feet are an integral part of your body and you use your feet to move around so you can complete tasks, lose weight and increase energy in your life. When you buy shoes, always have your feet measured and then you should try on different shoes to determine if they fit the best. If your feet are swollen and in pain, it is time to take a break and give your feet a rest for a few hours. It also helps to soak your feet in warm water and epsom salt along with dried herbs.
