The right time to quit smoking

Is there something that is holding you back from quitting smoking? Yes, admittedly, quitting smoking in the first few days or weeks can be very ugly. You would experience a whole lot of withdrawal symptoms and craving for cigarettes like begging for water in the midst of a dessert. Having temporary weight gain can even make matters worse for people who are conscious of their physical appearances.

However, these small and temporary side effects of quit smoking are incomparable to the huge benefits you will enjoy after the deed. For one, quitting smoking will guarantee that your body organs won’t be impaired due to low blood oxygen. This means that your organs are sure to function normally and without the hassle. Secondly, quitting smoking will let you enjoy firmer and smoother skin. Studies have shown that smoking contributes to the parchment-like feel of the skin. Third, permanently quitting from smoking cigarettes will also improve your sense of taste and smell. Smoking can impair these senses, even making you feel lost in the taste and smelling departments. Fourth, your zero nicotine intake will lessen the risk of you having smoking-related diseases such as lung cancer and tuberculosis. Fifth, stopping yourself from smoking means that you contribute to caring for Mother Earth. Sixth, steering clear from cigarettes will enable your loved ones and the people around you to cut the risk of contracting lung cancer due to the second-hand smoke they get. This makes quitting smoking a two-edge sword: protection for yourself and your loved ones.
